From 1996 to 2003, when I worked for Dave Pelz in Boca Raton, FL, I had several opportunities to go to PGA Tour events like the Doral and Honda Classic. In 1999 I was on the putting green at Doral with Dave Pelz and Steve Elkington, watching the two discuss putting. Over what felt like a 2-hour session because of so little interaction, Pelz said to Elk. “Put the Putter in the lifeline of your lead hand”. That was it! Really? All this time for that? Well, as things progressed, Steve Elkington went on to win that event, and a total of 10 PGA Tour events. Watch my video addressing the second most important parameter in the science of putting.
